This year was the simplest Christmas eve we've had in years, it might just be my favorite. We skated at the lake during the day and then ordered in some Chinese at my parents. We skipped out on our usual games and festivities since we partied the night prior. The kids opened some adorable Star Wars PJ'S that they loved and everyone was in bed by 8pm. This was the first time in our entire marriage T and I both tucked the kids in together (typically he is gone a couple hrs driving all his family home and misses out on the excitement ). After they were asleep we set out on the several hr task of assembling the kids gift! (I pretty much just watched lol) Some times these simple kind of evenings are just more.
Nice. And this was so nice to read after all the gov stuff today.
