As soon as AL climbed up on the couch Saturday morning and had a look at the snow out the window she was pretty excited. She started telling us to get our boots on and our coats on so we could play in the snow so, that is exactly what we did!
JA wasn't too thrilled about being bundled up but he had so much fun riding around the yard in the sled. AL loved the sled too but she spent most of her time playing with the snow in her little house and eating as much of it as she could.
It was so fun to just be a kid and play in the first snow!
(The quality of the pics are a bit rough as my camera is on its last leg BUT it only needs to hold out another month or so until I get a new one over the holidays:)

On a slightly different note, I follow a FHE blog (on the list on the right side of the page) and she is going through the Christmas symbols one week at a time starting today. I'm going to follow along as it seems like a great way to introduce them to the kids!
SNOW!! Wow, finally! Welcome to my past two months....maybe that's what explains my early Christmas attitude, hey? Do you like your sleds?
ReplyDeleteWe haven't seen any really yet. But I'm hoping for some in December. You should try Snow Ice Cream: 4 cups of fresh snow, 1/2 cup half/half or whole milk, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/4 tsp vanilla. Mix liquids and sugar together, pour over clean snow until consistency (kind of) of soft icecream. Add toppings. It's really fun snowy activity and treat!
