Today we decided to attempt a little visit to see Santa. If you
recall this post at all you will understand our hesitation. We didn't make any effort to dress up the kids in their adorable coordinating Christmas outfits and figured we would just walk by him and see if there was any interest. Wouldn't you know it, there was. The kids were so excited to see Santa and waited in the long line like little angels. Right as it was their turn to walk up to him, AL became a bit more timid and decided she only wanted to sit beside Santa (can't blaim her on that one) but JA turned at the last minute and came running back towards me. T and I hopped into the picture and the kids were delighted and full of smiles. AL told Santa she wants a "rainbow barbie camera with princesses on it" and JA told him he wants a "McQueen". They were so thrilled with the candy canes, Santa's "Ho Ho Ho's" and their visit. Success. We then had fun decorating gingerbread men cookies for a charity donation.
A few years ago I started buying little picture frame Christmas tree ornaments to put our pictures with Santa in from each year. It is fun to see our memories hanging on the tree and to take a look back at the past!

These pictures make me laugh so hard! First I love how you have a baby... then suddenly you have two kids! Then the picture where both kids are crying is hilarious. I LOVE this years! Everyone is so happy :)

Cute picture!! I am going to miss this - I don't think they do Santa's in the mall here - they do Christmas really well otherwise, but there don't seem to be any Santa's....
ReplyDeleteSO CUTE! WE don't usually even attempt it. It's just too crazy. Although, one year we had the kids deliver their letters directly to him. That helped them over their stage fright. :)
