The Seemingly Small

I just had one of those moments that to anyone else it would have appeared to be no big deal BUT to me, a mom of a little boy with a severe fine motor delay, it brought tears to my eyes.
I just found JA sitting at the table holding a marker with a two fingered grasp without propmting(opposed to a fisted grasp).  In place of his usual sea of scribbles was a picture of a person, an actual picture, that got more detailed as he worked on it (eyes, nose, mouth, spikey hair, grass etc). This was a big moment.
Tears and gratitude for all the hard work that has been put forth on his behalf this year!
