Downtown Adventures

I love taking the kids downtown.  I'm pretty sure that as we drive to the top of the river valley over looking the river and all the huge buildings the kids feel like we are entering into a new world.

Last weekend we hit up the huge downtown farmer's market.  We enjoyed some yummy treats, some amazing african music and dancing and balloon animals along with purusing the hundreds of vendors.

After we headed over to the other side of downtown to take in the Street Performer's Festival.  The kids loved it!  They loved the shows we watched and I loved the milder temps that didn't make you feel like you were melting into the concrete as you watched.....lol. 

We met up with one of T's coworkers who spoils my children like they were her grandchildren.  We watched a hilarious show by this guy and then this friend spoiled the kids with a bag full of gifts including some great hats.  They loved re-enacting the show with their own hats ;)

A few days later we headed back downtown to visit Daddy for lunch on his birthday.  The kids love going up to his office and looking out at the amazing river view and all the buildings.  Spinning in his office chair is pretty great too!
