Summer Road Trip - Day 13

We decided to postpone our departure and spend another 5 hrs on the lake having some fun before we made the long drive home.  Best decision.
Pretty sure that Sea Doo was running non stop!
WR was super timid of the Sea Doo and refused to go out on it.  He was a happy clam playing with these antique toys in the sand.
I got in on a little freedom too before we were locked in the van for the 8.5 hrs home!
Early in the afternoon we finally packed it all up and started on the drive home.  My Uncle loaded us up wth 20 lbs of peaches and we stopped at a market for another 20lbs.  Oh so delicious. We truly felt so grateful for the chance we had to stay here and for all the fun that was provided right at our finger tips.  My Aunt even went so far as to seriously offer for our kids to stay with them for the week and a half until we made a return trip back! (So sweet and tempting)

We soaked in every last ounce of mountain beauty that we could before it all disappeared.  Sigh.

We hadn't had the opportunity to take such a long trip with our children before and it was just what we needed.  They traveled so incredibly well it made it easy.  And being gone for two weeks really gave us the chance to relax, forget about all our "troubles" at home and work and really just enjoy each other.  We will treasure these memories forever.
