Teaching with my BFF

I graduated a few years prior to LF and started teaching while she was in school. I went back and subbed while A and J were very young and then decided to stay home. Right about that time LF started subbing and has on and off between babies. This is now the first year we are both subbing at the same time and we were excited at the thought of actually being at the same school at the same time (hello fun lunch and recess breaks!).
LF lives more central and subs the entire city and I only sub south side (to minimize my travel time).
So you can imagine our delight when my old colleague (from my 2nd yr of teaching) asked us to both sub for her and her coworker while they were away on a trip for 2 days! So fun to see each other. We then hit the jackpot this week and landed jobs at the same school as each other. Our afternoon classes were directly across the hall from each other. Getting a friendly smile here and there through the window is pretty fun. Now if only we can manage to swing that every week 😉
