We kicked off the holiday season by heading downtown to visit the Festival of Trees. T and I hadn't been since we were dating so it was fun to try something new with the kids. They loved it! The event is in support of the hospital so they had a great time learning to intubate a patient, give a stuffed monkey stiches, get tiny casts on their fingers etc. The highlight was getting to go shopping for their parents in the secret shop. They got to enter through a tunnel and shop with the help of teenage helpers while parents waited outside. They loved it! They played games, decorated cookies and trees and watched dance and music performances. A great start to kick off all the magic of the season.
