The first day of spring break was also easter Monday so we lucked out and had Daddy home too!
My sister bought her own horse at the end of the summer after years of leasing and we finally got a chance to go meet Spade.
The weather was glorious, the perfect day to be outside....although the mud was thick ;)
We all had so much fun with this gentle giant but no one surprised me more than JA. He had actually been a ball of anxiety leading up to going and was adament he wasn't riding. But within minutes of getting there he asked to ride and rode more than anyone grinning ear to ear the entire time. My sister always swears by the calming therapeutic effect of riding and now I'm convinced! J and A are both begging for lessons now and can't wait to go back. We also loved watching my sister and nephew show off their barrel riding skills. Can't wait to watch them compete in June.
