Firsts

We woke up today to the first snow fall of the year. AL was so excited she could hardly contain herself. She called her Dad at work and told him he needed to come home and make a snowman with her! She stuck her bare foot in the fresh snow when she let the dog out and watched it fall with excitement all morning.
We finally got out and built a snowman.

We may need to leave the snowman building to Daddy!

In other news, our boy has had a few firsts this week too. We finally moved him from his crib to the toddler bed we were given from my sister, after his climbing skills had us a bit concerned for his safety!
He is doing amazingly well at nap time and is working on the night time. He is so proud of himself when he wakes up in his bed. It does give me a chuckle to hear him get up and go to his door and call "Mom, Mommy" followed by several tiny knocks on his door. JA did sleep through the night in his little bed last night so there is hope (he has never been a good sleeper). Both kids can't get enough of the little bed and spend hours playing on it!


JA doesn't talk well yet and I think I forget just how much he knows. With his new found "big boy" status he has decided that he would also like to walk down the stairs (he is even attempting it on his own which is scary), drink from a cup with no lid and use cutlery!


It should be fun to see what other "firsts" we tackle this year!
