A Change of Plans

So after just a week of having T in school there is a major change of plans. He has decided to defer his enterance for a year while he spends time exploring even more school options. To keep a long story short (ish) after his first week of school his was super overwhelmed with the hours he was putting in; I think we may have seen him a total of 5 hours in 6 days. The bigger deciding factor was just how unimpressed he was with the school.
He had finished his undergrad with the school and was aware of the process that they use for distance learning so that wasn't a huge shock although it quickly brought back all the memories of things he found a challenge with them. The biggest problem is that they had him repeating 3 of the exact same classes from his undergrad degree (even though they promised they would be different), the exact same text book, same edition, same chapters assigned and same assignments. When you are paying $40k in tuition one expects to be getting some new and quality education!
He decided to get out now while he can, get the majority or his money back and keep exploring options (especially in the States).
Having a new addition to the family didn't have much to do with his decision since he was very aware of this addition when he registered but I am breathing a sigh of relief at the thought of having more help this year!

  2. Yes, breathing huge sighs of relief for you, I was wondering how you were going to manage juggling it all with T not around that much. And from the sounds of it, he will probably have a lot more time to find a program that really suits his goals and that's a plus at this stage of the game.

  4. It will be so good finding something better...cause that would be hard to do 3 classes over again when you already have done them. It's sometimes funny how things work out :)
