Home Stretch

We finally can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it is shinning nice and bright!  In 6 days (actually 5.5 since today is half over) we will have the keys to our new home.  It has been a long 4 months and we will appreciate having a new home a million times more then we ever would have before ;)  We are still super grateful to my parents for letting us invade (that is putting it midly) every inch of their space.
We had our official and final 2.5 hr walk thru yesterday and the house is 99.9% complete.  The appliances are just sitting in the garage waiting to be brought in soon and the driveway is framed waiting to be poured.  We built a very high efficency home and as the builder showed us all the details of the furnace, tankless hot water heater and other "stuff" in the basement my head was spinning........sure hope T was paying attention and taking notes ;)
Hot water "tank"

Just waiting for some concrete
We combed through the house looking for all the little touch ups that still need to be made and we were so happy with it all.

The kids still can't go in the house so I took a video for them and I think it finally seemed real to them after they watched it.
We seriously can't wait to move in!  We signed all the papers and paid all of our money at the lawyers a week ago and despite not having possession yet they emailed me a copy of our title (the builder still needs to have their caveat removed on possession day).  Anywho that was just what we needed to get AL all registered for her school since they are closed boundaries.  What a relief to not have to do that on the say we move.   We even managed to get our membership card for the beach.  The kids had a great time exploring for a bit this morning.  Sitting on the beach will sure help make the next few days of waiting go a lot faster.
