The weather has been typical crazy Canadian weather (scorching hot one day and raining and almost freezing the next). Here is a look at all the randomness we have been up to.........
Grandma and Grandpa's house is coming along! They just listed their place on thursday; hopefully it sells quick and they can line up a possession date that won't leave them homeless (for too long anyway).
The healthy eating continues. Almost 4 weeks dairy free and basically no refined sugar. It is getting much easier and my energy is so great, body feels healthy and skin is noticeably clearer :)
My kids have jumped on board earning "points" to be cashed in for money (500 points = $5). After dinner they run to do any chore they can think of......yes please!
WR is ALWAYS busy and into something. I am pretty sure my camera roll would be filled with his antics if I wasn't so stressed to clean most of them up instantly over taking a pic. He even managed to break his wooden baby gate right off the hinges at the top of the stairs this week; gone are the days of taking a quick shower and knowing he is contained upstairs!
With preschool over these two are actually get in a lot of play time together and really enjoying each other.
The boys and I have been loving our daily green smoothies at lunch! It is so fun invloving JA creating our mixture.
AL and O that we babysit have been wanting to have a rainbow loom sale for months. They are always creating and waiting for the big day. A week ago the sun was out and O came over with her mom and brother. We set up a lemonade stand, cookies and muffins we baked the day before, rainbow loom and a few toys to sell. The neighborhood was having 30 or so garage sales so we were hoping for a bit of traffic on our very quiet street.
It was pretty quiet to start with and the cookies were melting with the sunshine
And then our sweet friends road their bikes over, neighbors, construction workers and grandparents showed up and they were busy and sold out! So fun. The moment we ended a storm blew in, couldn't have planned it better.
So we don't have A/C in our house and are finding that the morning sunshine can sure heat up our house quick (even with the curtains closed). We came up with the great idea to install a fan above our stairs. Genius idea in theory. My poor sweet husband spent hrs and hrs on this ladder and had problem after problem. After 3 evenings he was ready to rip it out of the roof and toss it down the stairs and just drop the $4k to install A/C lol.
But with a little inspiration he was finally able to get it up. We love it. What a difference it makes to keeping us cool. Thank you T !
Every saturday we head to the town of B for swimming lessons. We get so excited to see the progress on our new church building each week from the pool parking lot, so fun.
This girl has been making great strides in the pool and slowly building her confidence!
Last monday we had the great delight of spending the day with my #1 blog reader ;) She was in town and we were able to spend the morning with her and her 4 kids while her husband was in training. We lucked out with some perfect summer weather and had a blast. We pretty much had the beach to ourselves.
These crazy kids got a little silly the other night at dinner. Love when they all get along even if it is messy (side note that I promise we are eating loads of veggies inspite of this pic - sauce is loaded with veggies, salads were already eaten and swiss chard was still steaming, who knew it would take so long to cook?)
AL has had zero desire to learn to ride her bike with out training wheels. We finally took them off and made her learn lol. T took her up an incline and sent her down over and over and bam she got it!
Feeling pretty happy with herself by the end of the night.
This kid is always sitting in the dirt. (Do toy guns disturb any other mom??? Every time JA goes to the dollar store he buys the same police set and within a day the gun "mysteriously" disappears :)
After a super cold and rainy week I had the kids out on the driveway playing chalk and having a blast learning how to throw and catch the frisbee. I was impressed with how well they caught on!
This morning we walked AL over to a party and spent time playing soccer (WR finally learned how to kick the ball and man was it cute)
So far June is off to a good start! Now bring on good weather and a rough grade so we can get our deck and yard in.

What a fun update! Your parent's house is looking super charming. Crazy about the ceiling fan! I bet it feels so much better. I love the one above our bed. That's too funny (#1 blog reader...) because I'm pretty sure that you are mine as well. HA!
