We headed to the beach to soak in every last moment we had there. We had seen many detailed sand scultptures and castles constructed throughout the week and still needed to tackle a bigger one ourselves.
T and I were wishing we had a real shovel and not just a child sized plastic one ;)
We found a bunch of live sand dollars and shells to decorate our castle with.
And made a little seaweed flag for the top. JA found several crabs to rule the castle.
And we needed a sand crab too. Meet "Crabby Patty"
And a sea snake
It didn't take too long for the tide to finally reach us as it came back in
And it looked like our snake was heading out to the sea!
In the later afternoon we went to check out Little Qualicum falls but WR crashed right as we hit the parking lot. Us girls took off and checked out the amazing falls and then switched with T and J. So breathtaking.
Afterwards we headed to a new mini golf at Rathtrevor beach. Lots of fun!
Mother nature really came through for our final stroll on the boardwalk to the park and painted a master piece in the sky.
A mandatory stop at the workout equipment!
Love all those mountain peaks
JA didn't want any pics taken but was thrilled to get the camera in his hands
I watched this scene until it all went black. Just too gorgeous. Something about this place that just woke up my soul!

Lucky you being able to stay out at sunset and beyond! So happy for you all!
ReplyDeleteThe bonus was that sunset was like 8-9pm!
