Mexico - Day 7

This was our last full day and we wanted to make it count!  We had another glorious breakfast with the cutest waitress that had to get in on the selfie WR insisted on when I pulled out the camera.

For the first time all week the water actually felt a bit chilly this morning but we dove right in anyway.
AL hadn't experienced the fun of the big waves so she had a blast.  The waves were slightly higher than the previous day.

WR, Grandma and me set to work on a sand castle

And we bought a few more necklaces, a purse and sunglass cases from this sweet lady.  The baby toes peeking out of the sling on her back made me melt.  That mother connection grew as we chatted with her very little english.

AL was pretty excited with her turtle necklace.

We decided to finally walk the entire stretch of the beach all the way down to the pier we could see in the distance.  A gorgeous walk.  AL was busy collecting coral and shells.  She was determined to have 27 shells to give each kid in her class one.

It was fun to see the resort next door under construction along with tiny little private bungalows along the beach.

Close to the pier we discovered the jackpot of perfect shells!  Absolutely beautiful little shells that were perfect for our little beach comber.  Clearly we just needed to get far enough away from the resort to find a place that wasn't picked over.
That turquoise color just gets me every time.  I could watch the ocean all day long.
We headed back up for lunch and I took a few pics of the resort along the way. The sinking feeling of wanting to capture every detail started to sink in!
A look at a few of the busier pools with bars and activities like water polo, water aerobics, dancing etc.

A very late lunch at the buffet!

The rest of the afternoon and well into dinner time the kids swam in the pool.  We decided to just pass on our dinner reservations and enjoy every last moment of play time!

It finally started to sprinkle as the sun went down and we headed off for dinner.

The kids and T went and checked out a production of Aladdin in the theater while I went up to the lobby to call our taxi service to confirm our trip for the next day. And I'm sure a trip to the ice cream shop followed just after.

Such a great day.
