Piano Recital

This past Tuesday AL had her first ever piano recital. She has blown me away with her dedication all year long. I rarely ever remind her to practice, it's just part of her bed time routine (thanks to having the keyboard in her room and the ability to turn the volume down). She has made great strides her first yr! I'm so glad we held off putting her in lessons until she was truly ready and motivated. She claims to want to complete every possible yr of piano!
Twice throughout the yr the teachers hold a recital in their home for students only which gives them the chance to perform in a less intimidating environment. 
The recital was adorable. It was so fun listening to the very beginning pianists mixed in with the very accomplished.  AL was pretty nervous right before her turn but she did fantastic.  She was so excited that she didn't hit any wrong notes.
To celebrate we hit DQ for a treat with our favorite neighbor friends who also had their daughter performing. Such a fun night!
